I also really liked that he brought back the character of Peter Parker's maybe-sister from the Family Business OGN. And I like Pete's new potential love interest - a standup comic from Toronto, who wants to date Spider-Man, not Peter Parker? That's fun. I also appreciate how he used the familiar supporting cast (MJ, Jonah, Betty Brant, the Human Torch). I appreciate his use of classic Spidey baddies like the Vulture, the Tinkerer, Kingpin and Trapster (no doubt thanks to their appearances in Spider-Man: Homecoming). ![]() ![]() It's refreshingly back to basics after all the weirdness in Spider-Man continuity lately - and Zdarsky writes a very funny Peter Parker/Spider-Man. But I wanted to see what hometown hero Chip Zdarsky was doing with the character, so I picked this book up. I liked my 616 Pete 30something, happily married, and teaching high school. I resented the seeming regression of the character that followed to a down-on-his-luck single 20something. I haven't read an in-continuity Spider-Man comic since One More Day. ![]() ![]() We found the Camry's brake pedal responsive and not too soft, even in the hybrid, in which it must meld friction with regenerative braking (where the energy from braking is used to recharge the hybrid's battery pack). The steering is pleasantly weighted and feels substantial when cornering and light when maneuvering in parking lots. It has a controlled ride and surprisingly responsive handling. We're also happy to say that we no longer hate driving the Camry. The real gem of this lineup is the velvety 301-hp V-6 that's available on the XLE and XSE models as well as the TRD variant. A less powerful version of that engine works with a battery and two electric motors to power the Camry hybrid, which is no more exciting to drive than the base powertrain.
